ET in New York said: “I have been trying to get a loan modification for 3 months now and have had so many problems with Saxon Mortgage it will not even fit in this small box. I have contacted Fox 5 and WPIX 11, the attorney general and your website as well as the CEO of Saxon Mortgage. I have been told 50 different stories by Saxon and still have not gotten my case handled and cannot even get anyone to call me back.”

In Boston, city inspectors yesterday condemned a foreclosed two-family home in Dorchester that had no smoke detectors, running water or toilets and was overrun with trash, drug paraphernalia and human waste.

The Journal continued with its criticisms, which certainly went beyond one unlucky trade: “In addition, under Mr. Mack’s watch, Morgan Stanley in February 2006 paid $1.76 billion for a credit-card company, Goldfish, only to see its value written down by $422 million a few weeks ago. He acquired a subprime-mortgage company, Saxon Capital Inc., for $706 million last December, even as warnings about the subprime storm were being sounded.”

Morgan Stanley placed a moratorium on foreclosing on some home loans to give the government time to launch a $50 billion mortgage relief program. The moratorium announcements come days after major bank chief executives committed to pausing mortgage foreclosures at a Congressional hearing.

CB in Florida asks: “Saxon mortgage services has flatly refused to adjust my escrow reserve requirements despite the fact that it reflects amounts for which I do not owe. Namely, it currently collects $400 monthly for flood insurance although this cost is covered by my condo association.

We receive input from many of you and we are wondering about Saxon Mortgage once again. It seems insurance companies bill Saxon well ahead of time, but 30 days later Saxon sends letters to the homeowner. The letters say that hazard insurance has not been paid.
