LP in Lousianna said: “I received a loan modification with a huge down payment request known as advance fees that are due by April 16, 2009. We have every intention on agreeing to these terms, but hearing these articles we are getting really scared. We have been late on our mortgage since August 2008 until now April 1, 2009. We have all the documents notarized and not to mention the huge down payment.

Cory in Iowa said: “I have had the same issue with Saxon Mortgage recognizing the SCRA of 2003 also. I have repeatedly faxed orders, cover sheets ,and information to be met with adversity and run-arounds since 5 May 2008. I went on active duty to the desert 12 May 2008. I faxed everything again in July 2008 and again in Febuary 2009 twice.

A visitor commented: “I have three contracts from three different buyers and Saxon has been giving me the same run around. Saxom is trying to force a foreclosure when they would almost have recouped all their money in a short sale. They do not enter the proper information when I call into their computer so the next time you call there are no good honest records of what is going on.

BS in New Jersey said: “I received a call from a Saxon Mortgage CSR saying our mortgage was going to increase because Saxon was going to escrow our taxes. Also recommend keeping copies of the timeline and any correspondences with the company. (dates, times, names, etc) I’ve been keeping records since November. Just after receiving our Act 91, THEN our loan mod proposal two days later. Forward it all to your states attorney general.”

First they lose their jobs, then their health insurance, then their homes, often followed by collapse of the family unit. It is hard to pay child support when a person is homeless and unemployed.

TE said: “I had no problems with Saxon until June 2008 when the nightmare started. I asked Saxon to help with back taxes when my escrow didn’t cover the taxes. They paid the taxes for me and my payment went over double so I asked them to spread them out over three years. They did that in October after I paid aug sept oct payments.

MA in Indiana/Florida said: “I currently reside in Indiana, but I have a house in Florida that is in foreclosure. Saxon holds the mortgage. I fell behind on the payments because of a hardship. In October, my realtor and I submitted a short-sale offer. Initially, Saxon did not tell us that the paperwork had to be submitted all at the same time.

JM in North Carolina said: “Like others we were told that Saxon would not take our loan modification unless we were late on it. We still made our payments until saxon put in an escrow account for our taxes when we never had one set up. $400 more every month when it should only be $200 at the most for taxes and insurance.
