TB in Pennsylvania sent this update: “After a much long fight, I’ve finally received my loan modification paperwork. I am only one of very few who have been able to navigate the loan modification (HAMP), shark infested waters.

There is more hope for homeowners from the standpoint of bringing reality to Washington. While lawmakers think HAMP and foreclosure aviodance is working well many homeowners know a different version of the truth.
AH in Pennsylvania said: “I became a customer of Saxon over 5 years ago now. Not one late payment for almost 4 of those years. In fact, I had never even called them until 2 January’s ago when I became ill and had to take a short unpaid leave from work. Due to this time off for illness I was going to be close to two weeks late on my mortgage. I called to see if there was something Saxon could do.
WA in Florida said: “My family is also a victim of Saxon Mortgage. I got the run around from Saxon, given incorrect fax numbers,
lost papers, payment misplaced, etc. I am trying to get a loan mod but so far no luck. Soon my rate will adjust in dec 2009 and we are stuggling now and i wont be able to keep up with my payments. I’ve been told my loan is a predatory loan but no one does anything. How do we get help? Doesn’t seem like anything is being done about these illegal loans.”
GD in New York said: “Reading through this site just verifies what I was already feeling, that Saxon has NO TRUE INTENTION of helping me with my mortgage payments. I jumped through every one of their hoops trying to get assistance when my pay was cut by 10% over a year ago and each time either docs. were missing, incomplete, they requested additional info. that was not listed anywhere .. after a year of submitting & resubmitting and spending hours on the phone .. I gave up!!

NG in Washington said: “The nightmare began in April almost two years ago when I blindly received the first of three modification packages. I didn’t want to agree to the modification terms so I did not return the paperwork. On the next mortgage statement it shows that Saxon Mortgage cashed my mortgage payment but placed it in a suspense account, nailed me with late fees and accused me of being delinquent.
Morgan Stanley, owner of Saxon Mortgage, and other Wall Street firms agreed to pay $100 million to settle a lawsuit accusing them of propping up American Business Financial Services Inc.
Christine said: “I had requested loan modification information from Saxon beginning in October 2008, and requested it monthly from that date; never having received it to present time. In May, 2009, when the HAMP program arrived, I called on a Monday and over the phone was denied. On the following day, I was approved (go figure) and they stated they could reduce my mortgage by 46 dollars. However, that was not at all helpful.
